At least I came back in one piece.

Skiing at Falls Creek, that's where we went.
Yea, I am still a little confused; the last time I checked, a "creek" is a tiny stream.
Skiing on the mountains during winter is apparently a "must" for all students studying in Australia, and being the blind goats cum followers that we are, we signed up for it with exceeding expectations for the trip.

Our 6-people bedroom in the ski lodge. Very comfortable and cozy. In fact, it was one of the nicest rooms in the lodge. :)
(and yes, I hogged a single bed, hee)

Us before embarking on our skiing adventure (unfortunately).

And yes, I know the ski parkas that we have on are horrendous, but they are rented k! Normal parkas/jackets just would not suffice in the icy cold weather on the mountains. And as all tragic stories go, of course all the parkas for rent are positively ugly and distasteful, and look like something that my grandmother will touch with a ten-foot pole.

BUT! I think I was the luckiest of them all! I was actually given a PINK parka! :D :D :D
Granted, it was at least 4 sizes too big, and it smells of a half-dead raccoon, but it was PINK, glorious pink! I really think the ski shop guy say my inner bimbo. And as luck had it, I had on a pink ski hat, pink scarf, my trusty pink adidas sneaker, and the pink parka! ;)

Putting on our ski boots, which was A BITCH OF A TIME.

I swear to god, ski boots are the MOST uncomfortable thing that you can put on. Forget 4 inch stilettos and toe-pinching pumps, ski boots is the way to go; if you want to kill your feet, that is. I feel as graceful as a penguin in the boots, and the only silver lining is that I could laugh at other people waddling in their ski boots.

Us, standing on skis.

We couldn't ski yet, y'see.

And if you're wondering why, it's 'cause we missed the skiing lesson.

And if you're wondering why, it's 'cause we accidentally took a longer nap than intended.

On top of the mountain.

Beautiful view, but I was scared out of my wits.
I have a phobia of heights. -_-

I love love love this picture I took of Mey and Smalls!

The board reads "Adult First Time Skier Meeting Area", which was obviously where we should go.
(The board was actually frosted over!)

Ironically, it wasn't my first time skiing! I have skied in New Zealand when I was 16, which was a whopping 7 years ago. So obviously, I still sucked at it.

Snowy slope in the background looks like a snow cone.

The only picture of me skiing.
And I don't care what you all say, that's a bloody steep slope that I came down on k!

And as I mentioned earlier on, I lost my handphone while skiing. :'(
I kept my phone in the pocket of my parka, and being the responsible adult that I am, I diligently zipped up the pocket so that the phone wouldn't drop out while I ski. Little did I know that the zipper was actually faulty, and in fact, the pocket wasn't zipped at all. The funny thing was, after I zipped the pocket, I didn't even fall down or anything, but somehow my phone found its way out, and the next thing I knew, I couldn't find my phone.

I instantly panicked, what with losing my handphone barely 6 months ago on my trip to Sydney I could not afford to lose another mobile phone. I was racing against time, 'cause I lost my phone around late 3pm, and the ski lift closes at 4.30pm; furthermore, I couldn't take the chance that it will snow, because if that happens, surely my phone would be buried under fresh snow, and I;ll never ever find it.

It was a horrible ordeal, going around the mountain on skis, when I am not even properly mobile (I couldn't ski if my life depended on it), but yet, I still had to go everywhere to make sure I have covered all bases. I don't think the girls know this, but I actually did cry a bit-- the idea of losing my phone all over again is really that traumatizing.

Thank goodness, it turns out that someone picked up my phone, and we contacted the couple (using Mey's phone), and all we needed to do was just to arrange a place to meet up to retrieve my phone.

HALLELUJAHHH!

And once again, I just want to thank Smalls and Mey for being so sweet and patient and helpful and just lovely for skiing all over to find my phone, for making calls on my behalf to contact the finder of my phone, for accompanying me all the way to the other side of the mountain to meet the finder, for doing all these despite being cold and miserable. I hope you girls enjoyed my kiss-- I haven't kissed a girl other than my family for ages (other than the time I kissed Jac when I was drunk wtf).

The funky shuttle bus we took to go up to the other side of Falls Creek-- weird tractor-like wheels for better grip on the slippery roads covered with snow!

The cutest baby!!!

There were so many little toddlers in tiny ski outfits and boots and helmet zooming around on skis. Seriously, made us damn shy la. I swear to god, these babies learn to ski before they learned how to walk.

Easter bunnies. No connection to snow whatsoever.

LOOOK the white spots are actually SNOW FLAKES! :)

Look at the snowflakes spread artistically on me, haha!

If I stayed still, I swear, I will be buried in snow.

Candid picture. We seemed so stoned in the picture!
Maybe there's a reason why animals hibernate in winter wtf.

Our ski caps encrusted with snow jewels.
It does look pretty, doesn't it, like crystals? :)

Smalls and I, stuck in the heated cafe, 'cause we needed to melt the layer of ice on our ski boots-- we couldn't fit onto our skis with the ice trapped there. -_______-
Extra brownie points for you if you could guess whose feet is whose! ;)

Random pictures I took during the group dinner:

Han Min and I; we are the reigning 'Chor Tai Di" king and queen.

Ronald from Hong Kong-- it's SUPER amusing to hear him speak with his Hongkie accent! :P

This is Johnny, a random ABC who asked to take a picture, and whom we proceeded to talk about how we will raise uncool children.

This is Nick, and the beauty of this picture is that it was totally candid-- he was caught mid-shrug, but look at how it seemed like he was in a dance (with the graceful hands behind him), hahaha!

Group picture of our table.
I was a converted fan of sticky date pudding that night.

Will post up the rest of our poser pictures tomorrow when I have the mood to. And I bet you're wondering why there are so little pictures of me hitting the slopes... Well, I told you, I suck in skiing.

But here's one more picture me in action.
