If you still have'nt figure it out, I am trying to blog everyday.
Let's see how long that will last. ;)
Time to dig out those Sydney pics! :)
Day 2 of Sydney, super packed itineray: cruise, zoo, The Rocks (a small town, not the wrestler and his family).
We, healthy folks that we are, always start our day with a good breakfast. :D
Brekkie was at a (backpackers') hotel's cafe...
And I super liked the place! :)
It was by the roadside; but with umbrellas strewn across the concrete sidewalk, and colorful flowers dotting the view around us, the place oozed quaintly charm.
Smalls looked like an Indian here.
Lifestyle of a Tai Tai.
Or at least I felt so lar. :D
Nothing kickstarts a day better than hot chocolate.
Check out the amount of chocolate powder sprinkled on top! :)
Eeeks, my sunscreen made my face appeared too fair.
My Big Breakfast and I.
Mighty BIG it was!
Very thick buttery toast, hash brown, sausages, baked beans and two sunny side up eggs. Mmmm.
I miss breakfast like this in M'sia. :(
And Smalls had a rather traumatising experience having a gigantic fly crawling on her egg, and in the end it was buried in the egg yolk.
Whereas I happily upped my cholesterol leve; with my untainted eggs. :P
With bulging tummies, we took a slow walk to Darling Harbour, where we were to take the ferry.
Connecting with the wild Hindi movie side in us.
Not a single tree was spared.
Darling Harbour. A rather cloudy day.
While waiting for the ferry...
This pose is very 'beauty-pageant-ish'.
I can so imagine a bunch of beauty contestants sitting by a wading pool, and turning back like that. -_-
I swear, we had to wait ages for the ferry k.
We are'nt actually such camwhores! :P
Chris, caught in mid-action.
He was running away, 'cause I was trying to catch pics of him camwhoring. =p
Kit Mey, who was taking this pic for me, was worriedly yelling out to me to not stand so near to the edge.
War of the cameras.
Ahaha! Like gun fight scene.
Can this bird get any scarier??
It can rotate its head 360 degrees!!!
Smalls, being herself.
Remember these birds in Finding Nemo?
They were the ones who made the funny noises!
Are they gulls of some sort?
On the ferry! I stole a kid's seat. -_-
Temporarily.
It was a cruise around various renowned spots of Sydney, and the ferry would drop us off at the zoo.
Sydney bridge!
Give you free half a botak head wtf.
Ooops! I have a better picture of the bridge!
Sydney bridge, sans baldies.
Sydney Harbour!
Do you have any idea how long it took me to adjust my pose so that the harbour is in the background???
Especially when the ferry is moving???
Another carefully calculated snapshot.
Sydney harbour. The best picture that I have of it, 'cause my fellow tour mates lied to me. We were supposed to actually visit Sydney Harbour, upclose and personal. :(
But it is truly a magnificent building.
When I saw it, my breatch got caught in my throat, and at that split second, it dawned on me, "Wow, I am in Sydney."
:)
I see the three of us until I also jelak already. =p
But definitely my favourite girls in Melbourne. :)
Oh, and it was Kean's birthday on that day! (11th Nov)
The guys giving Kean some birthday lovin'.
(left to right: Chris, Kean, Marc, Yen Hou)
Kean and Jolene. A really, really sweet picture.
Which is made even more precious 'cause this couple is so shy!
Damn hard to get them to this extent of PDA. ;)
Group pics!
I like them, 'cause often, it is not easy to find someone to help us to snap the pic.
Everyone looked so happy! :D
And check out our messy hair in all the pictures.
The sea breeze was so strong, that our hair was whipping against our faces, and sea water would splash up every now and then.
And if you are observant enough, you would probably notice that Mey, Smalls and I were all wearing skirts.
Which spelled D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R.
Our skirts were flying up, and yelps of terror kept on reverberating across our side of the ferry.
But to be honest, the ferry ride was definitely a highlight of the day! Heck, maybe even of the trip. I highly recommend it to anyone who visits Sydney. :)
Or course, there is a small price to pay.
Critical tangles.
And your hair would get sticky 'cause of the sea spray!
Look what we saw in the middle of the ocean!
A yatch named after me, ahaha.
The cruise took slightly longer than 30 minutes, I think, 'cause, y'know, time passes real quick when you are perpetually trying to flatten your skirt to your thighs in dire panic.
And before we knew it, we have reached Taronga Zoo! :)
First stop, koalas!
My first time ever, seeing a life koala. :)
Bloody koala, hid its face.
How would people know you are a koala bear ler???
And I was a little disappointed, 'cause the zoo didn't allow us to touch the koalas.
I wanted to hug a koala bear. =(
This picture is blur, 'cause the koala was trying to touch me, and the zookeeper (who was taking the photo for me) reprimanded me for standing too close to the koala.
The kola kissed me a little, if I didn't remember wrongly.
Wtf, I too hot lar, koalas also could not keep their hands off me. :D
I got another telling-off for hugging the tree (and hence scaring the koala).
Posing is an art k. Pui.
Petting a wallaby!
The poor thing, one day get molested by so many visitors.
AND I AM SO FUCKING PISSED.
I didn't see any kangaroos!
NOT ONE AT ALL.
The only type of kangaroo which I saw was this type.
Tree kangaroo.
See that orange blob amidst the branches?
That's it.
Sigh, at least if next time people talk 'bout tree kangaroos, you know it's orange.
Another wallaby. They have real sexy poses.
BUT STILL NO KANGAROOS!
A lizard of some sort, shedding its skin.
And I saw THIS in the birdpark!!!
*%$%#$%$#^&!!!
It was out in the open just like this!
Want to scare me to death ar!
I was not really fascinated by the peacock, 'cause I've been to the KL's birdpark before, and the peacocks there roamed freely too.
But I like how the colors of this photo blend in so well. :)
Sea lion. Huge nostrils you have there, mister.
I'll smack you if you dare make any hui-wen-is-a-monkey jokes.
C-cup boobs are the envy of many.
This bear looked so sad, my heart couldn't help going out to it. :(
Model height I have. ;)
Rams. With no fear of heights.
Timon and Pumba!! :D
NO KANGAROOS. :(
Not only that, the zoo honestly kinda sucked.
There were'nt many animals there!
For example, the tag on the cage would read "Jungle Cat: bla bla bla habitat and other facts bla bla", but in the cage, all we could see were dry twigs and leaves!!
And wombats. The zoo had a enclosed area, and they claimed that there are wombats there, but there was a disclaimer on the notice board: that wombats are generally shy and you can't see them!"
No guesses on whether I saw a wombat. =(
And let's not forget, NO KANGAROOS!
Luckily my heavy heart was soothed by a carvivourous meal that night!
German platter: heaps of German sausages, roasted pork, pork knuckle, ham, and chicken Shnitzel!
*smacks lips*
Lick your chops.
An enjoyable night of good (meaty) food, a slice of birthday cake with sparkler for Kean, and an outlandish old man who blowed a trumpet in funky plaid overalls.
And I hunger for pork knuckles now. :(
See? Even my cravings adhere to my protein diet. ;)
Ok, time to go sleep. Done accompanying the boyfriend in watching MU's football match (He watched, I accompanied).
