#Shitmyhusbandsays.

I have a great relationship with the boy, and I can safely say that we adore each other. Even after 12 years HEHE. But sometime the things he say ar, haha...

I think I actually need to start a series on the blog called Shit My Husband Says. :P

For example, the hubby showed me this one day, and asked me to build my dream man according to the $5 rule:

I pored over each trait, and I really couldn't decide! All the qualities are very important leh.. T__T Sense of humor is incredibly important to me, I just can't deal with boring people. But money is also crucial to lead a happy life LOL. Have to be smart right, I have no patience for stupid people, and our children how!!

I wailed to him, "I NEED MORE MONEY!!" T_T But he insisted that I must make my selection, grr.

In the end, I picked:  Funny, Smart, and Faithful. Just nice, $5.

He looked through the list again and nodded, "Wow, you got such a good deal! You paid $5, and you got back $19 in value in me!"

********************************************************************

It's been 2 years since my mother-in-law has left us, and over the weekend, there was a huge ceremony and prayers to signify the end of the mourning period. With that, the boy can start wearing bright colors.

Him: "I am not used to wearing red."

Me: *sympathetic* "Aww, baby, it's ok, these things take time..."

Him: *completely ignores and continues* "Red makes me look fat! Black is a much more slimming color..."

********************************************************************

While browsing for study lamps in Ikea, the boy asked me what genes would I like us to pass to our children in the future.

"Hmm, I want our kids to have my book-smart genes, and your street-smart genes!"

He nodded in agreement.

"And I want them to have your height! But have my looks, HAHA."

He gave me a -_-|| face but nodded again wtf.

"Mmmm, I want them to have my health genes! Okay, fine, my grandparents' health genes 'cause they are still so fit and health and they are going to live foreverrrrr!!"

"And OH OH! I want them to have my HAPPY gene!"

"Harh? Can just take a fraction of the happy gene ar?"

"Nooooo, cannot! Good what, my happy gene! Can be happy ALL the time!"

"Oh great. Next time everytime I go home, I go back to freaking Disney**."
**'Cause I am always singing and dancing at home wan!

HAHAHAHAHHAHA.

Comeback.

UGHHHH can't believe I haven't blogged in 3 months!!

But I promise that I have legit reasons for it though, hehe. And truth to be told, once you stop updating the blog, it's really easy to lose the blogging mojo. T__T It's like 1 week becomes 2 weeks becomes 1 month becomes 2 months, and here I am with an abandoned blog. *blows dust off my blog*

Anyway! What have I been up to?

To reiterate the story, I will need to tell some grandma tale LOL.

When I was a mere teenager, I made a pact with my high school best friends that we would go to New York before 30 years old, and GUESS WHAT. I am turning 30 this year.

Although it was almost a naive childhood (teenage?) dream, I could never really shake off this fantasy. Something about the city that never sleeps, something about fulfilling dreams, even those that seem far-fetch.... However, as I neared my birthday, I started to accept that I won't be realizing this NYC dream of mine-- what with being newly married, tight finances, no company (the boy won't have enough leave, and girlfriends/ sisters have their own commitments). It's not like I didn't try though! I did try to arrange something with Jing and Teeny, but taking 3 weeks off plus the hefty costs just made it quite unachievable as a sisters' trip at this stage.

And then in March, we found out that the boy has to go to the States, and New York is one of the cities! It was as if all the stars aligned themselves. In fact, as luck would have it, I would be spending my actual birthday in NYC! I was so so so ecstatic, and literally felt (and still feel!) on top of the world. :D

New York is every bit like how I imagined, and then some! NYC totally deserves its own travelogue, so I am just going to pacify you with one single photo here LOL. Will blog about NYC real soon! :D

And after being home for barely 2 weeks, I went to Central Europe with my family! Family trips are really precious to me because with Jing now working full-time in Brisbane, it's sort of the only time that we are all together. Also, we like to joke that family trips are the best bonding time, because there is nowhere else to run to except to talk to each other wtf.

Here we are in Budapest! We also did Munich, Prague and Vienna. Again, my Eurotrip deserves their own blogposts, so I won't go into detail here. But just check out the JOY in this photo!! That is basically the gist of my trips. :D

And probably the most significant thing that has happened, is that I turned 30. In N-Y-C yo! It was the best way to spend my 30th birthday because I didn't have the time to lament too much on turning old wtf. But seriously, it was quite emotional for me to fulfill my dream of visiting New York by 30-- on my 30th birthday! It is the type of kick-ass milestone that will forever color my life with neon colors and confetti hehe.

So with that, I am happy to announce my comeback to my blog. HELLO, and welcome home!

Colorful day in SG.

So, I was in Singapore for 3 days back in January! It was a really impromptu trip actually. Y'see, I have been planning to go to Singapore to run some banking errand for sometime already, but could never find the time (or heart) to go-- it's quite sien to travel all the way there alone just to go to the bank wtf.

Little did I know that my mom already planned a trip there because my cousin from Sydney was going to SG! And my mom who hates traveling alone, has actually forced my brother to go along with her-- much to my brother's dismay, haha. So it was kind of a match made in heaven-- we both wanted company for SG-- so off we went!

(My brother was forced to tag along in the end, because I had to leave earlier for work, and my mom doesn't dare to travel back alone, haha).

Am blogging about my only full day in SG (i.e. Day 2) 'cause Day 1 was when I traveled in; and Day 3 was when I traveled out wtf.

We were staying in Resort World at Sentosa Island 'cause my cousins were staying there too. When we weren't out in the city, mealtimes were all settled in Resort World, which is really convenient!

Literally rolled out of bed and went downstairs for pho wtf.

Pho with wagyu!! *mindblown* But actually not that nice la, 'cause the wagyu wasn't tender enough. :/

Selfie on Orchard Road!

By the way, does my fringe look weird? Because I had a hair crisis the day before I left for Singapore! -__- Went to a neighbourhood salon to get a nice blow-out for the trip, and since I was there, I thought I might as well get my bangs a trim.

Right before the hairstylist snipped away, he reassured me a few times that he is just going to cut really really little. Which I was totally cool with. Took off my glasses so that he could begin trimming. The next thing I know, when I put on back my glasses, I have like 1.5 inch left of bangs!!!!!

I was really mad! You would to, if you looked like a retard like me wtf. And asked the guy, "I thought you said you will cut VERY VERY little??"

And then he tried to defend himself and said that bangs grow very quickly so he cut more. -__-

In the end, he took some of my hair from the back and bring it forward to cover my super short bangs. -___-

It has been more than a month, and my bangs still look ridiculous. -_____-

Anyway, on to happier non-hairy things wtf.

The main highlight of out trip-- reunion time!

Quite a few of my aunties and cousins (from my mom's side) are from SG, so it's always jolly good fun to see everyone. Not to mention, not everyone was present here! It was a week-day, so some of them couldn't make it for dinner. But still, lots of boisterous fun! And 2 of my cousin brothers are getting married this year, so excited for them! :D

Just want to show you how pretty my cousin from Sydney is wtf (the one in green shorts). She is 30-over years old, has 2 kids, and still looks so pretty and hot! #lifegoals

Floral print midi dress: AZORIAS
Pearl bangle: Korea
Green rattan platforms: Jeffrey Campbell

I love to travel in this pair of flatforms 'cause it gives me a few inches of height, but it feels as if I am wearing flat sandals only!
