Can't be left alone. -_-

*update* OMG OMG OMG I have heard the BESTEST BESTEST news I have heard in quite some time. JACLYN AND SMALLS ARE COMING TO SINGAPORE IN 2 WEEKS' TIME!!! Can I hear a Whoop Whoop Whoop! :P Think teatimes, lunch binges, slutty clubbing, dawn suppers, slumber girlie time.
Flat hair flat reunited, that's how it should be! :D

It's confirmed already!
I cannot be left alone in a foreign country, a brand new place. :(

Because I cannot stop myself from shopping. T__T
Today's the first weekend that I am here alone, and after sleeping in till 3pm (WORKING IS DAMN TIRING OK), I decided to go shopping by myself.

I came home with:
- 10 tops
- a skirt
- 2 head bands
- 3 belts
- 3 pairs of shoes
- a bag (a work bag! 'Cause I have decided that for the meantimeI don't want to use a designer bag for work. [I have been using my Gucci tote for the past week, because it's just the right size and shape!])
- reserved 3 cardigans (omg, they are the cutest things ever!)-- I ran out of cash, hahaha
- a bag of Famous Amos cookies
- a piece of kaya cake
- a fast food meal wtf why do I eat so much junk

T_______________________________T
This is just like how I was in Melbourne! Back then, buying 20-over items a day was a norm. I don't want to go there again!

The irony of all of this is that just yesterday while talking to the boyfriend about trips, I told him: "Do you think X amount of money is easy to earn!", and then he asked me whether I am frugal 'cause I have started working. I then told him primly that yes, now that I am earning my own money, I will be very careful with my spending. T_T

And just last week I was telling my sisters that I don't plan to shop much in S'pore, because I really want to save my money. And to anyone who told me to go shopping in S'pore, I replied them the same way too.

Look at where I am now. T_________T

Photobucket
And just in case you're wondering how work is treating me-- this is how I look like now! :P
Me in my faux schoolgirl plaid dress and my extremely uncomfortable new tan sandals.

Speaking of which, I think I have to give up high heels. T___T
'Cause from Monday to Friday I am in very uncomfortable heeled shoes, so when I am not in work clothes all I want to do is ..err be like monks and tie rafia strings around my feet or something. But certain outfits just look better with heels, HOW LAAAA.

Btw, this explains the 3 pairs of shoes I bought today. *shifty eyes*

More pictures of Jing and Teeny in S'pore! :)

Photobucket
FLATSSSS. It's just insane to wear heels here, we do so much walking! =/

And that's Teeny's crazy-ass gladiator sandals! She got it one size smaller than her feet size ('cause they don't cater to larger feet), so when we were there, every night after she bathed, she would put on the shoes; sit on the floor, chat with us and go on with her nightly activities. She did so to 'expand her shoes' according to her. -__- Do you know how scary it is just trip over someone sitting on the floor wearing long warrior-like sandals! T_T

Photobucket
Jing!

Eh I just realized both of them were wearing gladiator sandals that day. -____-

We went to one of my favorite eating places in Singapore. :)))

Photobucket
Coffee Club!

Since we have discovered the place a few years ago, we would always stop by whenever we are in S'pore. :)

Photobucket
My butterscotch and banana latte.

I don't like bananas, I have no idea why I ordered this! I think I was feeling adventurous. -_- At first, there really wasn't any banana taste in the coffee, so I decided to let the banana slice (floating on top of the drink in the picture!) to just remain submersed in the coffee.

But after awhile, I felt like I was drinking banana juice. T____T I think the banana slice is not really the fruit, but more like a sponge with banana essence in it, and it unleashed its banana flavoring. T_____T

Photobucket
One of my favorite dishes here: Wasabi prawn salad!

Photobucket
Teeny's dory fillets with crumbs. :)

She is still on her protein diet. o_O

Photobucket
Jing's pasta, Al fredo!

Photobucket
Photobucket
They were ALL GOOOD. ;)

Photobucket
And my absolute favorite-- the mud pie!

Coffee and chocolate ice cream and and oreo cookie base and chocolate sauce and butterscotch sauce, oh my god, this is as near to heaven as we can get to. :P

It was truly a fantastic evening, gorging on all these delicious foods, gossiping and laughing, and eying all the bags around us (we saw Birkins and Kellys, OMG), and we sat right next to the glass windows, getting a full view of Orchard Road. :) Unfortunately, I don't think I will be making a trip back there anytime soon. Have you ever experienced this before? After you have been to a certain place with someone, the sentiments attached to that place would change forever for you.

In Melbourne, I walk past the same shops, the same buildings, the same Yarra river, for all the time that I was there. But when the boyfriend came down to Melbourne to visit me last year, suddenly these places aren't what they were to me anymore. After he left Melbourne, everytime I passed by a certain street, a certain spot on the grassy hilltop, I thought of him, I thought of the time when we were there.

Aaah, but maybe it's just me. :)

One more last random picture:

Photobucket

After my first day of work!
Dressed extremely conservatively, because I wanted to be safe; it was my first day after all! ;)
But I was damn emo, 'cause when I met up with my mom and sisters at Orchard, they were all dressed in great outfits, whereas I was in some starchy uniform wtf.

And oh ya, for all of you have complimented us on our dressing sense, and asking us where do we get our clothes from, check out Jing's new baby: Velvet Ribbon! I am her unofficial consultant for this project of hers, and her (our) main principle is that she only sells things that we ourselves would actually wear! :P So gooooo, buy buy buy! And then maybe she will start remunerating me with some consultation and advertising fees. :P

Of cold curry puffs.

I had ice cream and curry puffs (two) for dinner. =/
I couldn't be bothered to go out for dinner, and anyhow, I didn't fancy the idea of eating alone. And no, I am too tired to cook! Is this the life of all working people ar wtf. T_T

If my mom finds out about my meal, I would get a good nagging.
I really need to start taking better care of myself. :(

Anyway, some pictures from a time where my sisters and mom were still here. :)

Photobucket
This was only Day 2, but we have already waved our white flags-- we had to wear flats thereafter! T___T

Photobucket
My Miu Miu bag pretty or not! :P
And oh god, my right hand looked so thin and wax-ish! Like a doll's! Jing, did you photoshop this picture before passing it to me! -_-

Photobucket
I was wearing this gorgeous pair of vintage earrings-- twisted in a classy rosette-knot, solid gold.

Only problem was, they were clip-ons, and they were very very heavy.
So by the end of the day, when I take off these earrings (they are okay when worn, you don't really feel them), my earlobes were really sore! And then you would find me cursing and grumbling while I rubbed at my ears. Until Teeny told me that there are pulse points in our earlobes that could restrain our appetite and make us lose weight!

Then I quickly clipped the earrings back on wtf.

Speaking of Teeny, you might notice that there were no pictures of her.I think she was PMS-ing, she didn't let us take any pictures of/with her. -_-

Photobucket
The only way I could capture her on camera. -_-

Photobucket
Somewhere on Orchard-- our second home!

But my second home now is the office wtf. T__T
My colleagues scared me today by telling me that it's a common occurence to work till 5am! T_____T

Photobucket
With my mom and Teeny at dinner. ('Cause my mom asked to take the picture, so Teeny didn't dare to disobey, hahaha)

And yes, my mom is the skinniest woman in the family. T__T Injustice! T_______T

And oh, you might observe the picture above that there were people sitting on the side railings behind us! They were queuing up to get into the restaurant! -_______-

Photobucket
Us queuing, and being super tulan about it, hahaha.

Seriously, everywhere you go in S'pore, it's queues and lines!

Photobucket

SEEEE, go Gucci also need to queue! -_________________-

Anyway, some updates on working life so far:

These 2 weeks would be dedicated to training, kind of like university lectures. Which is basically sitting down and pretending to listen WTF. But I am not complaining, 'cause it's like getting gaji buta this month (which loosely translates to receiving salary without doing anything hahaha)! But immediately after training, i.e the following Monday, I would be out on a job. I am in auditing-- being on a job means that you're assigned to audit a client, and it usually means that you would be working at the client's place. This would also mean that I would sort of be thrown into the deep end of the sea when that time comes, 'cause I guess I would be expected to start.. working and knowing things. But I found out that one of the seniors on the same job as me is my university mate! And he's also my boyfriend's friend. Will he go easy on me ar. *big shiny eyes*

Hmm, what else... Oh ya, on the 2nd day of work, we ended our training early to go for a private sale (for our company employees only) in Topshop, Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Warehouse and G20000! And we also have some discounts in these shops for a limited period. But I didn't get anything, 'cause did you know that things (international brands) are more expensive in Singapore! Much more expensive, in fact. So if I am going to get brands that they have back home, I'd rather go back to KL for them.

I also found out that my company has a really big drinking and clubbing culture. :P

And I got wind that my unit makes business trips to China really often!!! I am not sure how I feel about this. =/

What else can I tell you about my experience for these few days... Oh! I know what else I can tell you about work. The company gave us a free shoe-bag and waterbottle on our first day of work, and my mom was very impressed. -_-

Hmm, I think that's about all. For now, all I can say is, Thank God It's Friday! :P

Day 7. :(

My mom and my sisters are gone. :(
Will you all look down on me if I told you I cried. :(

It feels like Melbourne all over again, when I first went there. The cold, lonely feeling that grips you tightly around the heart. The notion that nobody is there for you; you are out for yourself. The helplessness, because you don' know how to build a life by yourself. The empty room that greets you.
And the tearing in buses and trains during those long trips, and the feigned nonchalance in brushing off those tears.

Today at 7.30am, was the last time I saw my mom and sisters, right before I creeped out the room to go to work. As mentioned sometime ago, I purposely arranged for them to take the 3pm bus home-- so that I wouldn't have to see them leave. I have never been good in saying goodbyes.

While I was bustling around the room in the midst of getting ready, while trying not to wake my mom/sisters up; my mom has already awaken. In hushed tones, she asked me is there anything that I would like: sundries etc. I saw her looking at me while I get ready. I wanted so much to cry then, but I just took silent deep breathes and continued applying my blusher.

Then I heard a stifled sniffle from Jing. And I recalled the text message on my mobile phone's message screen that I accidentally saw yesterday-- Jing borrowed my phone to text her boyfriend. I only caught a glimpse of the message before I cleared it off, but I saw the words "I am emo now coz my sister is leaving tomorrow".

Another deep breath from me, another choked back sob, I steeled myself.

Right before I left the room, I climbed onto the bed to give my mom a kiss on her cheek, and murmured "bye!" cheerily. Forced cheeriness. I would have loved to give my sisters kisses as well, but I knew I was that close to sobbing. So I just blew both of them fly-kisses and said "MWAH!" in an unnaturally high-pitch voice. Then I closed the bedroom door behind me.

What they didn't know was I cried for a few minutes at the front door before letting myself out.

*****************************************

Anyway, enough with my emo crap. In an attempt to return some normalcy to this entry... before I left, the boyfriend and I tried out some fun dates, so here are some pictures! And you god damn better appreciate these pictures, because I just found out that my external hard disk has crashed-- all my pictures are gone!! Thank god I haven't deleted them from my camera-- so I uploaded them onto my laptop again. T_T

We went to GSC Signature, in Gardens! It's supposed to be a luxury-concept cinema, which is a notch better than the average cinemas, but of a slightly lower class than the exorbitantly priced Gold Class seats! :)

Photobucket
Priced at RM20 per ticket, apparently most people rather fork out the extra RM8-RM10 (as compared to the usual movie ticket rates) for the comfy seats in GSC Signature! :)

Photobucket
My hair color quite brown right. *big shiny eyes*

Imagine my terror during the "Dress Code" talk in orientation today, when the speaker said that only natural hair colors are allowed for the company. T___T

What is this! So strict right! T_T

Some pictures of the cinema:

Photobucket
Posh right! Kind of looks like a bar/pub/cafe. :)

Photobucket
They have cafes dotting the cinema-- easy access for food! But the food prices come with a premium though.

Whilst browsing the Gardens...

Photobucket
HAHAHAHHAHA Yoda lego display! HAHAHHAHAHA!
Damn sohai-looking!

Photobucket
I really really really miss the boyfriend. :(
It's day 7 since I have seen him. :'(((

And as usual, my outfit!

Pray for me that I will get to go home in 2 weeks time k. :)
