Recently, there is all this buzz about a viral video of a girl being really upset at her boyfriend (I blogged about it here). Are you curious why? There are a couple of possibilities:

1) Scenario 1

2) Scenario 2

3) Scenario 3

Which one do you think has caused the misunderstanding?

Either way, I am going to take a wild guess and say that a call probably would have eliminated any uncertainties, and thus avoid any possible misunderstandings.

To stress the importance of making a call, 31 March is actually Make That Call Day – a day to connect and communicate! Think of it as a special day to appreciate the special people in our lives and this can be accomplished with a simple phone call to tell them how special they are.

I have an idea of who I want to call on that day. What about you? Who will you be picking up the phone to call on 31 March? ;)

PS: Find out more about the ending of the videos here! Super drama wan!

Tropical print.

I am not so much of a floral print girl, because florals are sometimes too girlie for my tastes. But give me a tropical print and I am yours.

Beautiful jewelry that I managed to thrift in Chatchuchak market (literally from this basket of secondhand? vintage? jewelries), Bangkok.

Wearing possibly one of my favorite maxi dresses with the most vibrant, eye-catching tropical print. Ironically, I think it rained or something the day before, so there were all this fallen dried fronds in my garden, which created the perfect backdrop for my dress, haha.

Showing off the sleek brass knuckle ring, reminds me of Margiela accessories. And another reason why I love my dress so much-- the cutouts at the shoulder!

Accents of red -- my mom's Chanel purse and red lipstick (Lady Dragon by MAC).

Tropical print maxi dress with shoulder cut-outs: AZORIAS
Bejeweled bangles: Bangkok
Enamel bangle: Teeny's
Gold bamboo bangle: Topshop
Brass knuckle ring: Bangkok
Tan leather clogs: Steve madden
Patent purse: Chanel

Kind of the perfect summer outfit, really.

Wicked.

Suddenly feel like talking about Wicked (the musical) that I saw in December, after seeing a lot of people talking about it on my Twitter timeline recently!

Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite stories when I was a kid. Do you guys remember the movie? There was this scene where the witch could change heads like we change clothes wtf-- that scene scared me so much as a kid! I rank my love for it at the same level as The Never-Ending Story (you gotta remember Bastien and Falkor the flying dog right!!). So when I found out that Wicked is an adaptation of the Oz story, I knew I had to go for it.

I am not going to give away any parts of the musical (except that there are a lot of clever twists on the original plot of Wizard of Oz, and by golly, you will SO enjoy Glinda (the Good Witch from South)'s performance), so people, watch it if you can afford the money/ time! Actually, scratch that, watch it even if you can't wtf.

Posting some pictures from the day we watched the musical in Singapore. Obviously no pictures from the musical itself, but I've some delicious-looking pictures (literally) from our tea after the musical!

We went to High Societe in MBS (just a floor below the hall to watch Wicked).

I can't really remember the exact flavor of these cupcakes, but I swear to god, they were divine.

Same thing with these fries that I was having because...

... they came with truffle aioli. Oh my goodness. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. So good!

Clown in the house.

One piece of cake for each of us. The one I had is called Casablanca (the one on top), and my mind was blown, people. Not being a huge fan of chocolates, I usually steer away from chocolate desserts, but this was a combination of hazelnut and chocolate, and it was just the right amount of richness to create orgasm in the mouth. Oooh yea.

Is that a lot of food for 2 people? Because when the waiter was taking our order, we started with our drink orders and the cupcakes (requesting for recommendation), and there was this awkward moment when he walked away after he jot down our cupcake order. "WAIT! We still want to order somemore!" and then he takes down our order for the fries. Second awkward moment when he walked away again. "WAIT! We are not done!" and he walked back to us with a pointed look, and he asked us is it just the two of us. T____T

To our defense, we did finish all the food!

And behold everyone, this is my face when I am enjoying my food. Other girls nibble on their desserts with dainty expressions, whereas I am blessed with this sexy look.

Spent quite a bit on Wicked merchandise 'cause I enjoyed it SO much and I just wanted to bring a part of it home! :)

Cool teapot that we spotted. Not so cool price tag at SGD5,000. -___-

Playing paparazzi to Teeny. Love the details on the back of her brocade dress!

I've got some details going on at the back too! *competitive wtf*

Just because I like the interior (or is it exterior?) of this TCC branch.

Outfit:

Leopard print backless jumpsuit: Velvet Ribbon
Gold choker: H&M
Bracelets: ASOS/ Korea
Ring: Korea
Black suede knot platforms: Topshop
Gold shell clutch: Accessorize

By the way, just in case you guys are interested, I think Wicked is playing until April/ May! Go watch, and BRING ME!!

Parka love.

Guys, I've got something to confess... Somewhere deep in my big cavernous heart (although it's nothing compared to my bottomless stomach wtf), I've a squishy soft spot for parkas!

So much so that I declared it openly.

I suspect it's partly due to Alexa Chung who carries it off so effortlessly... And it seems to have become her signature style somewhat?

There's this chilled-out, I-didn't-put-much-thought-into-this-but-I-naturally-look-stylish vibe when you throw on a parka, which I love!

Wearing an army green parka in Tokyo.

However, wearing a parka in our type of weather is not really practical. Which is why I was so happy when I found a lightweight army green jacket that gives out the same relaxed vibe, but is oh-so-airy and easy to wear!

Wore this outfit during my grandmother's birthday dinner over the weekend-- I wanted to go for a dressy yet not overdone look, so my solution was to throw my army green jacket over my super girlie coral pleated dress!

It's also slightly unconventional because it's trimmed with some yummy crochet lace details. Usually I am quite weary of crochet lace details myself because it's a little too girlie for me, but it's the perfect touch for this jacket because it softens the look, and the jacket doesn't look so utilitarian!

Have my hair up in a messy ponytail because I wanted to show off the details of the jacket on the shoulders and back. :)

Tada!

I am seriously obsessed with this jacket man. I bought it last year, but this is the first time I was wearing it. I didn't think it would be any help in keeping me warm (it's made of Georgette, which is similar to lightweight sturdy chiffon), but surprisingly it kept the chills away in the car and the air-conditioned restaurant. Conversely, when I was outdoors in our type of climate (read: HOT), it felt light and doesn't stick to my skin like some other fabrics when you start to perspire lightly.

New jewels that I bought in Korea recently. LOVE!

Outfit details:

Coral pleated minidress: Topshop
Army green Georgette jacket: AZORIAS
Necklaces: Korea
Patent woven heels: Marni
Tie-dyed studded bow clutch: Holiday in Zhuhai

The boyfriend and I were reading some articles on entrepreneurship just now, and one of the articles mentioned that you need to listen to your gut feeling. The boyfriend straightaway exclaimed, "Bee, that's you!"

I was confused. "Huh?"

"You always listen to your gut feeling, that's why you always eat so much".
