Lumps and Lard.

I am fat.

:(

The mom. The first thing she said when she saw me:

"Wah, look like FATTER already ar!"

I replied with feeble protests. Something about my babydoll top adding inches on me.

Upon closer look, she claims again:

"Really lah!!! Fat already!

My maid.

"YOU SO FAT ALREADY!!!"

I glared at her.

"REALLY! SO FAT!"

Death stare.

"VEERRRYY FAT!"

Bloody hell. Want me to fire you is it.

The second sister. Whenever she sees me.

"FATTY!!! Teehee."

I am wearing the same size as you k. *scowls*

The boyfriend.

I manja-ly asked him while he was paying the parking ticket at the airport, "Ï got put on weight or not?"

Silence.

"Actually got lah. Can see.

Shot daggers with my eyes.

"BUT you still pretty."

Super tried to salvage, hehe.

I need U-zap. And Detox-Slim. And the Cheesie prunes. And magic pills.

I. Need. To. Lose. Weight.

FAST.

So I can eat more. :D

And I just kissed the ground after getting off the car. My sister is helluva scary driver, I ma telling you.

Trust me, if you see a gold Avanza zooming near you, RUN!!!

Don't say I didn't warn you.

And on another irrelevant note, am I the only oddball who finds Daniel Craig (the new James Bond), as plain looking as he is, quite dashing?

Sydney Trip: Day 1

FINALLY.

I am blogging about my Sydney trip.

And that's because I am sick, and for the first time since I got back, I am staying in. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
At the airport.
The speakers were blaring for us to board the plane.
But we *had* to take a few more pictures lah. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I had a window seat. :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
We whipped off our coats the moment we got off the plane! :D
Glorious oh glorious warm sun.

And after that we hitched a cab to our hotel, and that is when I lost my handphone. :(

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Chinatown.

We had lunch, and the boys went back to the hotel, while the girls continued to improve Sydney's economy!! ;)

The plan for the night was to dine next to Darling Harbour, which translates to Girls Night Out plus dressing up.

After much primping, Smalls, Kit Mey and I waited in the lobby for the rest to show up.

The first thing that came out of their mouths was:

"Why so formal wan??? You all go ball ar???"

-___-

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Darling Harbour!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
We forced everyone to take pictures with us. :D

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Layan diri individual camwhoring.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I like this setting, very tai-tai!
And I was a huge jakun, I thought this was Darling Harbour. -_-

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I stalked this bird, ehehe.
Ran around just to get a good pic of it.
Scared the wits out of it, I think. =p

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Chris and I.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
First full group pic!
And the real Darling Harbour.
Back (left to right): Jolene, Chris, Chung, Lili.
Front (left to right): Kit Mey, Smalls, me, Marc, Yen Hou, Hui Kean.

Before dinner, we went for our first tourist thingamajig-- the Aquarium, which was situated on Darling Harbour! :)

They had this really cool entrance, shaped like a shark's jaws, and all of us posed really well too.
UNFORTUNATELY, the pictures turned out extremely blur. :( *cough*Kean*cough*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
We can pose as anything. :P

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And pose with anything. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Bloody long crocodile which was floating so unassumingly and scared us all çause we didn't expect a bloody long crocodile at our foot level.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Platypus.

The idiot was zooming so quickly in the water, I couldn't get a clear shot of it!
You on steroids ar.
They should so showcase a platypus that is poser in nature, one that is willing to strut its stuff, and model all angles for us. Hee.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Nah, close-up of platypus.

And I hate eels. To be more accurate, I hate anything without legs (fishes and other yummy seafood are excluded), hence my irrevocable fear of snakes, worms, and EELS.

But unagi, I don't mind eating, heh.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Damn gross.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
DAMN SCARY.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Jellyfishes in disco-like psycadelic tank.
What a funky life they lead.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Underwater tunnel.
One of my favourite pics of the trip. :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Spot the seahorse! =p

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
DORY!!! :)
Now I know why it is portrayed as a forgetful, blur fish.
As it was swimming in the tank, its eyes were unfocused, its movements were frantic, and you could almost see it muttering under its breath to remember its name. :P

Sharks up next!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Sharks need a good orthodontist, me thinks.

To see the sharks, we had to go into another underwater tunnel, a dimly lit one, with eerie music playing.

Quite scary lah.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
One of the biggest stingray I have EVER seen.
(Sorry, the picture just isn't sufficient to portray its sheer enormosity.)

Portugeuese style, yo! =p

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Waaaaahh....

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And they had these horrible ugly fishes at the end of each tunnel!
WHY???
Can anyone enlighten me on what fishes they are???

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Cool fish shaped lighting.

We went into this room with very tropical like tanks, heck, it resembles sandy beaches k!
We got so busy camwhoring, that we didn't look at the fishes. o_O

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Aloha!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Did you know? ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Hootie and the Blowfish.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I like the effect of the fully made-of-glass enclosing. :)

Who wants to go take the glass-bottom boat with me in Redang? :D

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
All the girls (left to right): Jolene, me, Lili, Smalls, Kitty.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Another animal that I stalked that day.
I ran from left to right, chasing after them!
This is easily one of the strangest looking fish I have seen!
The picture is blurry, çause these babies swim damn fast, but just imagine a dugong with a fish tail and a horn on its head.
Way out. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
In the souvenier shop.
Beat that, Angelina!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Smalls is slightly taller than Nemo!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Underwater Kingdom: Undecipherable Animal Mey, Snowy Seal Wen, and Furry Platypus Smalls.

Dinner time!

Darling Harbour has such a wonderful array of restaurants, all hip and swanky. We went to a restaurant called George, a restaurant that is minimalistic yet sophisticated with a touch of class. :)

Sitting by the sea, with the breeze blowing carelessly through our hair...

That is life. :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Self declared Girls Night Out. :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Everyone, minus me.

Unfortunately, everything on the menu costs around AUD30. :(

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Roasted spring chicken with an obviously more refined name.

I basically got 4 mini pieces of chicken, out of which 2 pieces were wings. Aaah, but such is fine foods.
It came with a layered potato cake, very finely done, and very yummy too.
The sauce was the ultimate bomb, very tangy, very fragrant. Went very well with the sauteed mushrooms, and the roasted to perfection chicken (all 4 pieces of it) too.

Excluding the size factor, I give it a 8.5 for taste. :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My new almost backless dress with a huge sash. :)

Okies, end of Day 1, Day 2 up soon! :P

I live in a romance novel.

I was feeling kinda crummy at his place today, didn't have enough rest and was having a bloody runny nose, so I told him I wanted to nap.

He went out to buy lunch for himself (I told him I didn't want anything to eat).

When I opened my eyes, I had a box of McD's nuggets and a pint of Baskin Robbin's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in front of me. :)

We watched Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone on his laptop, tangled under bed covers, and fed each other ice cream.

:)

The day before, we danced around in his bedroom to Frank Sinatra.
Damn fail waltz, a little lambada, and throwing me to lean behind.

I feel loved. :)

Captain of the MH148 flight: To all Malaysians, welcome home.

Things that make home home.

The whirring sounds of the ceiling fan that greets me when I awaken from slumber.

The naggings of grandma to the boys (brother and grandpa) that reverberates in the morning.

My sisters' good-natured teasing and uncivilised butt-squeezing.

Astro channel-surfing.

Maggi goreng. Teh ais. Cheese naan.

A huge stack of magazines on the coffee table, waiting for me to devour them.

Choppy the Stinky Dog.

Flat screen monitor, as compared to my laptop.

The green Wira that chauffeurs me around.

Calvin Klein's Truth cologne.

My staple mamak's man asked my sisters where I was.

************************************************

So familiar, yet a little strange.

The first night I laid on my bed, the comforter was too thin. The comforter I had in Melbourne was thick and fluffy.

And I forgot how to switch on the water pump when I wanted to bathe.

But other than that, it is as if I never left.

Oh, and I got this from the boyfriend when he came to fetch me at the airport.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I love my boy. :)

(Edited: They are cupcakes!!! Not mousepad ler... -_-)

It's good to be home.

I teared...

When he told me:

'Bee, it has been more than 4 months since I could tell you "See you tomorrow"!'

See you tomorrow too. :)

To curl or not to curl?

I am going home tomorrow, and the first thing I want to do is to do something to my hair!!!

Well, at least, after a little rendezvous with the boyfriend, my maggi goreng and a cup of teh tarik, heh.

The thing is, I am in such a dilemma!!!

My original plan was to straighten my hair first, and when I go home from Melbourne at the end of next year, I would perm my hair. However, the boyfriend is really keen on me curling hair, lavishing me with compliments about how nice I looked with curls (I have done temporary perms before),and in fact, he made me an offer that is quite difficult to refuse!!!

He told me that I could perm my hair first, and when I go home mid-year next year, he would pay for my straightening, should I find my curls too difficult to maintain, or that it is getting to be a hassle.

Fry my hair twice a year, you want my hair to die ar?

But that aside, it does sound quite quite appealing, 'cause then I can have the best of both worlds.

Though I would probably be stuck with yellow branch-like hair a few months down the road.

Help me decide please.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Straight hair.

VS

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Curls.

Hahahahaha.

Crazy ar, if I look like that with curls, I'd rather DIE than go for a perm. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Pardon the miang pose, my sister took the picture when I wasn't prepared. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
These are the curls that I want.

Now, please don't be affected by these pictures of me with curls k, I just came back from a Christian Dior makeup thingy in those pictures, I won't look like that everyday. :(

Well, you should be aware of one bit of information, that I really do want to curl my hair-- y'know, loose sexy slightly tousled curls, especially considering the fact that I have had straight hair for a couple of years... However, I have to be practical, 'cause I am coming back to Aussie next year, and it would be difficult to take care of my curls.

I can't give my hair treatments (would cost an arm and a leg), and I would be bound to blowdry it everyday, not to mention all the hair products that I have to buy that are specially catered for permed hair.

Also, if I put those products on my hair, I am afraid I might get backne (back acne, geddit? :P) on my back, from the residue from the hair products, since I am quite prone to spots on my back.

Besides that, if I were to perm my hair, most likely I would have to do a digital perm, as it is the most lasting, but it gives you auntie-ish tight curls!!! I will only get the loose curls effect that I lust after after about a year or so. :(

Furthermore, I don't think my hair is long enough to be permed yet. 'Cause if I want the effect of long loose curls, my hair needs to be really long.

Straightened hair would be boring, undeniably, but you have admit, straight hair will never go out of style, and it would be fuss-free and much easier to take care, especially when I am in Melbourne next year.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW???

What do you think? :)

The return of the girl with icky bangs and a bad tan.

Hola, everyone!

I got alot of "How was Sydney?"s...

Well, I lost my handphone in Sydney. :(

First day itself. :(

The moment I reached Sydney, in fact. :( :( :(

I remember taking my phone out at baggage claims to switch it on, and I distinctively remember putting the phone back into my bag, and zipping it. After that, we straightaway caught a cab to the hotel we were staying. When we reached the hotel, my phone wasn't with me anymore.

This is the second handphone I have lost, and trust me, it SUCKS big time.

I just spilled the beans to my dad yesterday, and thank god he seemed quite cool with it.

Of course, there is always the possibility that he might choose to wring my neck only when I am back.

*gulp*

I am packing for home now, and the current state of my room is "Hit by tornado: Level 10247889".

I have no idea how I accumulated so much stuff in 4 months!!! I mean, yeah, there were the occasional shopping trips, but it's just not humanely possible!

I suspect that there is some weird conspiracy going on that transports all sorts of paraphernalia around Melbourne into my room.

Yep, that's the only logical explaination.

I actually have to go buy a new bag and some boxes tomorrow to fit in my stuff.

Don't tell my parents k. ;)

Anyway, 400 over pictures taken in Sydney.
I would get my butt to them as soon as I find the time.

I promise.

Holiday Mood.

Sydney, here I come!!!

Beaches, shopping, scrumptious cuisines. That's what life's all about. :)

Goodbye, La Tortura!

*sniffs the air around me*

What is that???

OH I SEE.

It's the smell of FREEDOM!!! :D

So engrossed in calculations...

My Financial Accounting textbook is propped open right in front of me, and I have loose leaves of papers sprawled all over my table-- lecture notes, tutorial notes, practice questions, exam techniques.

I am furiously tapping on my calculator now...

24.. +... 8... + 4 + ... + (45/60)...

YES!!!

36.75 hours till my exams are are officially over!

Sunday, November 05, 2006

The Nerd speaks again.

I so need a massage.

All the hunched-shoulders-bent-head positions during many furious study sessions have given me very sore neck and shoulder muscles. :(

I need someone to knead and massage me.

Any takers? ;)

******************************************************

Three more days till exams are finished, one tomorrow, another one on Wednesday.

I can't even breathe normally, I feel tense all over. I can only relax after my exams are officially over and done with.

Help me pray k? That time will pass by quickly. :)

******************************************************

I am going to Sydney next Saturday!! :D And most likely, we'll go to the beach.

But I didn't bring a bathing suit with me to Aussie. :(

How ar? Should I fork out AUD70 to get a cute swimsuit???

Or just wear tank top and shorts, while my girlfriends prance around in their lovely swimwear...

Bah, fuck it, Roxy bikini it is!

******************************************************

I need chocolates AGAIN. Something about studying that just sucks up all my energy and endorphines.

I need it to make me feel happy.

So that I can hum and bob my head while I study.

Tiiiiiiiim Taaaaaaaams....

******************************************************

I am wearing a blue fabric headband now, with my bangs all tucked up.

Frumpiness to the max.

Somemore, with the headband worn so low (i.e. very close to my forehead), I look like a kungfu fighter who is gonna start walking on walls.

Darn, tucking my fringe up means I am gonna get flat icky bangs tomorrow.

******************************************************

Yea, if you haven't gotten it, I am just typing random things that popped into my head.

******************************************************

Shoot, my 10 minutes' break is up.

It's a Smalls' world after all...

Boys and girls, this is a tale, of the urban legend.

Beware, my children, your life may never be the same again.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You bounced into my life with your size 3 feet.

Funny eh, that we have known of each other's existence for 1?2? years, heck, we have been in the same classes for a few subjects, and we have never even spoken more than ten words to each other.

But yet, now we call each other at 2am in the morning, just to dish out a piece of crap, be it trivia from a sanitary napkin or yet another racist joke.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I can't even recount the times that we made each other laugh till our tummies ache.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Or the countless times we have faithfully entertained ourselves. *cough law lectures cough*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You have been a great friend all the way...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Amidst all your lameness and crappiness...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Drunken moments...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Through the shopping trips....

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And cracking each other up...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You have been a fantastical friend, and definitely an indispensable part of my life here. :)

So, Happy Birthday, twerp!!!

Here's to a phenomenal year ahead of you, and a long-lasting friendship!! :D

Have a great one, my lesbo partner.

PS: So sorry for the late birthday post, I actually wanted to do one yesterday at 3 am, but discipline got the better of me. ;) Just want you to know I *heart* you so very much k? Muahhs!! :)
